Dr. Matthew McAlees, D.C.
"Short duration, high intensity exercise, or burst training is the most effective way to get the results that people want. Burst training releases less of the stress hormone, cortisol, than any other type of exercise. Too much cortisol is detrimental because it stresses the body, causes premature aging, prevents fat loss, and breaks down muscle. Therefore, minimal cortisol release during workouts is ideal. Science shows that this is best accomplished through burst training. I personally burst train, all my patients burst train, and every professional athlete out there is burst training because of its effectiveness."
Dr. Matthew McAlees earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree at Palmer College in Port Orange, FL. He has helped patients rebuild their health at one of the largest Maximized Living Health Centers in the world as a certified Maximized Living Mentor. Most recently he was elected to the U.S.A. wrestling teams’ Wellness Advisory Council.
Due to his extensive experience and research, he currently speaks and teaches all over the world on the principles of gaining victory over disease. Dr. McAlees has traveled all over North America, Europe, and Africa teaching the principles of Maximized Living, including a recent trip to Denmark for the World Championships. He operated as a team physician, taking care of Olympic medalists and World Champions.
Rebekah Blesch, LMT, PT
"Burst training is now my personal workout style of choice. I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to reset their metabolism, lose weight and/or inches, gain lean muscle mass, and have a better overall quality of life!"
A Licensed Massage Therapist, as well as a personal trainer for 6 years, Rebekah's experience in the world of fitness is rooted in 20 years as a competitive athlete, including playing Division I basketball at both the University of Alabama and Liberty University. Through the avenue of basketball, Rebekah has been privileged to travel to countries such as Israel, Greece, Macedonia, Chile, and the Dominican Republic. Her diverse interaction with people has enabled Rebekah to see first-hand the world-wide need for sound, effective counsel in regards to overall health.
Rebekah can say with the utmost confidence that burst training is unparalleled in comparison to other methods of working out. A bit skeptical at first, due to 20+years of being conditioned to run or train as long as possible, with as heavy weight as possible, Rebekah was pleasantly surprised with burst training. She has found it to be more effective, less time-consuming, and easier on the body than the traditional ways of exercising.
Joanna Korber, PT, CNC
"Over the years, I’ve noticed a trend in the effectiveness of particular fitness routines. I’ve trained many endurance athletes who had great stamina for longer distance activities, but struggled with decreased energy, losing excess body fat and/or maintaining muscle mass. Whenever I would put my clients through a burst routine, they would see greater fat loss, increased amounts of energy and maintenance of (or even building) lean muscle mass. I believe our bodies are at max stress levels in this day and age more than ever before. It seems that longer periods of moderate exercise only further break down the body, rarely resulting in needed weight loss or increased energy. With the proper technique and safety precautions, I believe Burst training will greatly benefit those who engage in this time-efficient form of exercise."
